Je vais vous présenter mon dernier bonnet, mais un petit truc vous attend à la fin de cet article ❤
Voici un petit nouveau ! Fraîchement tombé de mes aiguilles, j’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à le tricoter.
Tout simple, ce bonnet m’a permis de tester le jacquard. Il se monte très vite, et le dessin est facile à retenir.

Here’s a new knitting project! Freshly fallen from my needles, I had a lot of fun knitting it.
Very easy, this hat was the perfect occasion for me to knit with two colours. It goes very fast, and the design is easy to remember.

Pour la laine, j’ai essayé pour la première fois des pelotes de la Filature du Valgaudemar. En bébé Alpaga, cette laine est d’une douceur incroyable !
J’ai hâte de tester une autre de leurs laines, car je suis conquise !

For wool, I tried for the first time the balls from the French label « Filature du Valgaudemar ». This yarn is baby alpaca and incredibly soft!
I can not wait to try another of their wool, because I love it!

Cet article est là également pour vous faire découvrir un petit projet que ma douce Mélody et moi-même avons mis en place : Knit 12 hats in 1 year.
Le principe est tout simple : c’est de créer un bonnet par mois pour qu’à la fin de l’année on puisse se remémorer les différents mois passés et accessoirement avoir chaud sur la tête.

Je suis dans ma grande période bonnets en ce moment !!! Et après avoir gagné l’ebook de « Botanical Knits », je n’ai pas pu résister longtemps avant de tricoter un de ses superbes patrons 🙂
Mon choix s’est donc porté sur le « Pressed Leaves » !
Et je n’ai pas hésité pour mon choix de laine, quand j’ai vu le coloris « Smokey Orchid » de Madelinetosh Vintage : je suis tombée amoureuse de ce dégradé de violet au camel.

I’m in my hat period! And after winning the ebook of « Botanical Knits », I could not resist knitting one of these beautiful patterns 🙂
My choice was focused on « Pressed Leaves »!
And I did not hesitate for my choice of wool, when I saw the color « Smokey Orchid » of Madelinetosh Vintage: I fell in love with this color.

Un délice à tricoter ! Tout est bien expliqué, facile mais pas ennuyeux, j’ai passé un bon moment. D’ailleurs, je ne le quitte plus !

A delight to knit! Everything is well explained, easy but not boring, I had a great time. Besides, I wear it all the time!

Un seul point noir : je trouve que le dégradé de la laine dissimule les motifs floraux… Je pense que, si je le refais un jour, je le tricoterai avec une laine plus unie.

Only one problem: I think that the gradient of wool hides the floral pattern… I think, if I do it again one day, I will knit it with a wool with only one color.

Bonjour à tous ! Après mon bonnet Rosebud, j’ai eu tout de suite l’envie de me refaire un bonnet. Et puis, quand j’ai vu CET ARTICLE de ma tricopine « Mandarine’s », je n’ai pas pu résister : il me le fallait !!!

Hello everyone!
After my Rosebud hat, I immediately wanted to make another hat. And, when I saw THIS ARTICLE by my knitter friend « Mandarine’s », I could not resist: I needed it!!!

J’ai tout de suite craqué sur ce motif végétal, un peu féérique. Du coup, j’ai choisit une couleur de laine très douce, un peu girly pour rester dans le thème 🙂

I immediately fell in love with this plant pattern, a bit magical. So, I chose a very soft color, a bit girly to stay in the theme 🙂

J’appréhendais beaucoup les noppes, car je n’en avais jamais fait auparavant. Mais au final, il suffit simplement de suivre le patron !
Par contre, j’ai fait un petit changement dans le patron : j’ai fait seulement 3 répétitions du motif au lieu de 4, afin d’avoir un bonnet et non un slouch.
J’ai adoré ce patron, on ne s’ennuie jamais mais en même temps ce n’est pas prise de tête !

I was afraid of the bubbles, because I had never done something like that before. But in the end, you just have to follow the pattern!
However I made a small change in the pattern: I only repeated 3 times instead of 4, because I wanted a hat and not a slouch.
I love this pattern, we never get bored but at the same time it is not hard!

Et puis, j’ai eu un vrai coup de coeur pour l’univers et l’humour de cette créatrice ! D’ailleurs, j’ai sélectionné plusieurs autres de ses patrons ^^

Bon dimanche à tous !
Avec tout ce froid qui s’est abattu sur la France, je n’ai pas lésiné en tricot : il me fallait un bonnet pour protéger mes oreilles de la neige.
Ce projet, même s’il est simple en pratique, c’est le plus grand défis que je me suis imposée jusqu’à maintenant : premier bonnet, premier patron en ANGLAIS, première fois avec des aiguilles doubles pointes et nouvelle laine à tester.
J’ai eu quelques sueurs froides, je ne m’en cache pas !

With this cold weather that came in France, I knitted A LOT: I needed a hat to protect my ears from the snow.
This project, although pretty simple in practice, is the biggest challenge that I did so far: first hat, first pattern in ENGLISH, first time with double pointed needles and a new wool to test.
I had some difficulties, I must admit it!

Après avoir traduit les légendes, c’est allé tout seul ! Bon ok j’avoue, j’ai demandé de l’aide à Izzie une fois ou deux, et j’ai pas mal paniqué lorsque j’ai dû prendre les aiguilles doubles pointes…
Mais je suis contente car je n’ai pas fait trop de bêtises au final ^^

After translating the legends, it was quite easy! Ok I admit, I had to ask Izzie for help once or twice, and I quite panicked when I had to knit with double pointed needles …
But I’m happy because, in the end, I have not done too many mystakes ^^

Et, aller !, en exclusivité : deux petites photos du bonnet sous la neige 😉
Vous verrez mieux aussi l’arrière du bonnet (j’ai fait la version « slouch », et non pas le bonnet).
