Il y a quelques semaines, une de mes amies m’a pointé du doigt un modèle Phildar en me disant : « Tiens, c’est bientôt mon anniversaire ! Ca pourrait te donner des idées… »
Ni une ni deux, je cours au magasin, achète toutes les pelotes, m’installe devant le patron et là… Grand moment de solitude ! Le modèle semble très simple (une sorte de Trendy Châle version jersey) mais les explications de Phildar pour placer les diminutions me laissent sans voie : ça ressemblait à un problème de mathématiques !!!

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine showed me a Phildar pattern and said: « Hey, it’s my birthday soon! It might give you some ideas … »
So I ran to the yarn shop, bought all the balls, sat in front of the pattern and … I was shocked! The pattern looks very simple (sort of Trendy Shawl) but the explanations of the book were incomprehensible: it looked like a math problem!!!

Finalement j’ai fait l’inverse du patron, à ma sauce : j’ai commencé par la pointe, en faisant 2 augmentations tous les rangs endroits. Au bout de 20cm, j’ai fait 4 augmentations par rangs endroits.

Finally I did the opposite of the pattern: I started with the tip and increased two stitches every knit row. 20cm after the start, I made four increases by knit row.

Le petit truc sympa de ce modèle : la couleur. En effet, la chose astucieuse de ce châle c’est qu’il est tricoté avec 3 fils de couleurs et de matières différentes ! C’est ce qui donne ce « vieux rose » brillant.

The nice little trick of this model: the color. Indeed, the clever thing is that the shawl is knitted with 3 different yarns! This is what gives this shiny « old pink ».

Comme les fils sont très fins et tricotés avec des aiguilles 7mm, ça donne un côté très souple et vaporeux ! Il est également très léger et très moelleux autour du cou.

As the yarns are very thin and knitted with needles 7mm, it gives a very soft and wispy side! It is also very light and soft around the neck.

Le gros bémol de cette laine : elle est très duveteuse ! Donc un ENFER à tricoter (surtout avec 3 fils en même temps…).
Ce châle a déjà rejoint sa propriétaire, et j’espère qu’il lui plait 😉
